Kilobots XVI
Cameco SPECTRUM 2010
January 16-17, 2010
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, once again we outdid ourselves. Kilobots XVI saw 25 different robots compete for over $1000 in prizes and cash. More than 5000 people came to watch the bots duke it out (including demos on Thurs and Fri) and I don't think anyone left disappointed! *Special thanks to Big Blue Saw, Solarbotics, and Saskatoon Machine Works for donating some nifty prizes.

Kilobots XV
The Saskatoon Fireworks Festival
September 4-5, 2009
Kilobots XV (held at the Saskatoon Fireworks Festival) was a blast! There were hundreds of kids and parents who enjoyed watching the combat tournament and testing their driving skills on the Viper kits in a fast-paced 2-on-2 soccer game. The fireworks were spectacular and made for a good finish to both nights.

Kilobots XII
The Mall at Lawson Heights
March 29-30, 2008
Not long since the last event, we are back again! Same venue- even more action. There were a number of new bots along with old favourites competing. The arena is looking even better with its new sliding doors, and now that it fits through the mall doors setup was a breeze!

Aside from having to tip the new trailer arena on its side to get it into the doors (curse the person who told us they were over 8ft wide!), Kilobots XI was one of the smoothest events ever. Many spectators got to come watch since it was in the very spectator-friendly mall foodcourt entrance! I suspect we will be back there before long; the mall was very pleased with the event.
WBX-IV was the most laid-back Warbots Xtreme event yet. Held out at the Mackie acreage, this low-key event did not have to worry about catering to an audience. It was just for the builders, and the builders appreciated it greatly. Sometimes it's nice to have the time you need to repair your bots! The arena has been set up semi-permanently out there and we all look forward to next year's event.
